365 Blog-Day 208

My new home! I get the whole upstairs to myself! I even get a balcony off my room. My uncle built this house with his own hands. Pretty awesome!
Here is the tree house that has a zip line!
Lucy chilling on my balcony
I think I could get used to drinking coffee on this porch and listening to the birds chirp. :)
This set up definitely beats living in international housing on the OU campus haha!

365 Blog-Day 207

I moved to San Antonio today! My next rotation is at the University Health Systems Hospital in SA. I'm living with my uncle and cousins in La Vernia. Tonight was their Homecoming, so we got to see Cody be an escort in the homecoming court and march in the band. It was fun doing the small hometown Friday night thing.

Here are the two love birds (Trey and Kelsey-newly engaged!)
Me and Uncle Arthur
Me and cousin Kelsey
Me and my handsome cousin Cody. I ironed his shirt and tied his tie (my first duties as a live-in cousin) I hope I passed!

365 Blog-Day 206

Lightning struck in Abilene today and caught a field on fire. This picture is taken from the top of our barn that I climbed up on and almost lost my balance. haha I was at Taco Bueno with Mary Kay and we both wanted to check it out to see where it was. It looked like it was really close to my house and it was! We got there and there was a sheriff blocking my road to make sure that only residence came down the road. We got there and Becky and McKinley were there checking on our house and Uncle Mike had called in to report the fire as soon as it happened. Caleb and Dad called too to check on our house and the animals. It was quite the adventurous afternoon. Thankfully, the firemen caught it quickly, but they still had to have planes drop flame retardant. They were flying so low to the ground. It was cool to watch all of the events from my front porch, but I'm glad it didn't come any closer.

365 Blog-Day 205

I was home with the pets today, so I took pics of my animals :)

Here is my horse Fancy
Here is my sister's horse Ace
Here is my brother's dog Gus.
Poor Quincey didn't get her picture taken. She was napping inside. I just love animals and miss them when I'm not at home.

365 Blog-Day 204

I went to see McKinley's dorm room. It was too cute!
Sitting at her desk "studying"
By the way, she got a bid from Siggies, so she is now Squid McKinley Musgrave!!!

365 Blog-Day 203

Katy and I tried on our new scrubs for work. Aren't we such cute twinkies :)

365 Blog-Day 202

Today was Katy's birthday, but sadly I didn't get any pictures of her-haha...oops She turned 28! JJ took these pictures :)

Maegan and Caleb (or a monkey...?)
JJ being goofy in the hot tub-he spiked his hair up

365 Blog-Day 201

Tonight was Jack Maxwell's art show at ACU. It was a collection of all of his European art pieces. It was also a great opportunity to catch up with the Maxwell's and Lively's. I hadn't seen Audrey in 9 months! Way too long. They moved back to Texas, so hopefully I will see her more often.

The Maxwell girls (Jackie, Jill, and Audrey)
Josh, Audrey, and Me (family photo style)

365 Blog-Day 200

I got to go to all 3 kids' games. Hannah and Brittany are sporting orange smiles after their game. I'm glad I at least made it to one game this season. I even got some sideline playing in with JJ.

365 Blog-Day 199

I stopped in the middle of the parking lot with my car completely packed from floor to ceiling with my stuff from the past 3 months. I took a picture of my first fieldwork site-JD McCarty in Norman, OK. It has been a long, hard, but overall good 3 months. There have been days of challenge and days of fun. I am glad that I came here and glad that I had this opportunity to grow. One thing I am sure of: I learned how to completely trust in God on a daily basis. That I am thankful for.

365 Blog-Day 198

Now, these people better be owners of Cap'n Crunch b/c this is ridiculous. Leah and I saw this on our walk to the baseball game on campus at OU.

365 Blog-Day 197

We had a student inter-department dinner tonight. We each represented the rehab department (PT, OT, SLP). We just decided to go to dinner on Campus Corner. Leah's supervisor recommended The Greek House, so we indulged in some lamb! Yum-my! It reminded me of Ali's Kebab Vendor Van in Oxford.

Jamie, me, and Leah
The Greek Spread
It was fun getting to know other students on their rotations and sharing a cubby with them throughout my time here.

365 Blog-Day 196

My dad talked me through how to take my bike apart so that I could fit it into my car. Learn something new everyday. I feel like this should be on an ad for Toyota to demonstrate the versatility of the backseats. :)

365 Blog-Day 195

How could I pass up 2 free invitations to the Ranger's game on Sunday? I couldn't! I stayed until the very end and then drove back to OK for my last week of FW.

I got to sit with Britni (Johnson) Brock for half of the game! So good to see my ol' friend.
I got to sit with the Bollen's the other half of the game (in the shade) :).
Mama Girl, Molly, Holland, and me
So good to catch up with Holland and hear all about how her rotation is going and to trade stories.

Maggie, me, and Holland
Could I have asked for a better weekend? I don't think so!

365 Blog-Day 194

Marci had a new apartment party and the theme was sports, so we all put on our sporting attire and played games such as Last Word, Mao, and Phase 10. The party consisted of Jessi, April, Josh, Marci, Michael, and myself.

Josh and Marci...and Michael?? haha! Great face!
April, me, and Jessi on the couch
Me and "Ashton Kutcher"
We entertained ourselves at The Fort Worth Botanical Gardens
We even did some planking

Wahoo!
Could we be any weirder?

Last, but not least, we did not get towed at this game! Horray!
