Katherine and I went to Costa Brava in Spain this past weekend! We've been taking finals all week so I haven't gotten a chance to update my blog until now. We basically laid out in the sun and went swimming in the ocean everday. The weather was perfect and the water felt great! We went to Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar, and Blanes. Our hotel was great too! It had 2 hot tubs on the roof of the hotel, a swimming pool, a dance floor, and a buffet. It was the first time we stayed in an actual hotel instead of a hostel and it was a great change. We had our own bathroom complete with its own hairdryer that looked like a vacuum. The second day we were there, we took a cruise boat to the next city. We had a great view of the coastline. The water was incredible. It was torquoise/teal and you could see straight to the bottom. It was so neat to swim in such pretty water. The last day when we were in Blanes, we walked up to a hill on the peninsula and it had a great view of the beaches and the water. It was the most relaxing trip I've taken yet.
We got a lot of needed sun and rest. It helped us prepare for the thousands of papers and tests we had due this week! I have one more paper to write tonight and then I will be done with school until the fall! Woo hoo! None of us can believe that we only have a few short days left in Oxford. I am ready for some homecooking and some big hugs, but I have really fallen in love with this place. I am glad that I will still have a few weeks to enjoy Europe with my sister. I can't wait. Until then, I will soak up my last few days and try to capture it as best I can. I went for a walk yesterday and took pictures of my favorite places around town. This is a place I will not soon forget.
